a 2001 Chevy Cavalier or a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix? When it comes to safety, durability, and price of parts?

I'm asking in cars as well, but I don't know how active that section is so I figured I'd ask here, too.
I drive a Cavalier. I bought in new 10 ys ago. I still haven't hit 100,00 though! It's never broken down on me once in 10 yrs. I've only owned Chevys. I'll be buying a new car soon and might go with an SUV. I like the Equinox.
