dodge neon 1995 starter problem or battery cable info?
I don't know where one of the three negative battery cable extentions goes 1. is the battery terminal and that goes on the battery. 2. is ground and that goes to the frame of the hood. 3. is a circle/hexagon and where does that go to the starter if so where at on the starter be specfic.
I have hooked up the starter attachments up wrong but the screws are right but the electrical wires are wrong, that orange looking plastic piece that covers one of the two bolts when screwed on? and also I know where that wire piece goes that slides in the little square piece I am cool with that there. How about the circle/hexogon piece that runs with the negative battery cable where does that (not the battery terminal one) and (not the ground that goes to the front frame, bolts next to the radiator
the wires how are they connected ?
anybody know or can tell where pictures of a starter's wires are online? still connected to the starter and where each attachment goes from the negative cable?
i think your backward with the cable only a hot goes to the starter only one ground with be black and red cables and the plastic cover is for a hot wire there is no need to cover a ground wire.. you best get someone to help you or you going to have a bigger mess if you look there will be a plus sign on the starter for the hot wire most always to the right side the other goes to the battery and the switch or coil .... be wise and go get a manual it will show ya every thing
