As a kid always grew up with american vehicles in my family. My grandparents always have done GM, and my aunts and uncles have done Chryslers, and my parents have always done Fords. I like Fords, not my favorite vehicles though(cadillac&volvo are my favorites)but when i go and look at the lastest Ford that just came out, some models are nice looking, like the 2008 Mustang,or the F-150 truck or maybe even the Fusion, but some of the other models are just ok. Like i have a 2005 Taurus, at one point i heard that they killed the Taurus off of the Ford line, and then they brought it back to life for 2008. Now i like the 2008 Taurus, it alot more luxurious than mine, but it is still a bit plain, compared to the Altima, Camry, and the Accord. but they say that the new Taurus is not no longer in the same vehicle size, it is now on the line of the Avalon, Maxima etc. But when i look at other vehicles that Ford makes outside of the US. i get a little jealous, like the 08 Ford Falcon(sharp)
Look at the Domestic vehicle market .. Not so hot. Toyota is now officially the # 1 selling make in the world, over selling GM. International country's are making them right and so that is why Ford chooses to build them outside the US.
Hyundai is building fantastic cars now. They have now 2 vehicles rated "Top Pick" by Consumer Reports. Its all over net and TV.
