Ok I have a 67 Impala, and I am having some troubles. Something is killing the battery I changed the battery, voltage regulator, and alternator. I took it to several mechanics including the Chevy dealership, and no one can seem to find the problem. After I charge the battey up it starts, and after driving it then cutting the vehicle off the gen. Light comes on and will not start up again unless I charge it back up. Can someone please help, I'm losing my mind over this car. Thanks
Hardly any young "technician" will be able to help you if they have never worked on pre-computer cars.
Could also be your positive battery cable that is corroded somewhere. Check the flexibility of the cable from the battery to...I believe it goes to the starter. If you find a hard spot you will need to replace it.
